Ingredients

1 lb dry yellow split peas
2 celery stalks; finely chopped
1 large carrot; finely chopped
1 medium onion; finely chopped
2 tablespoon sweet butter
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 chicken bouillon cubes
2 quart water



Directions: How to Cook Dal (Indian Spilt-Pea Soup)

Obviously you've never cooked in a crock pot. even after seven hours some times the beans are crunchy!
