Ginger Pickled Pears Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 medium lemon sliced
6 medium pears, peeled, thinly sliced



Directions: How to Cook Ginger Pickled Pears

In large saucepan, combine sugar, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, vinegar, water and the sliced lemon, stir well. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil then stir in the pear slices.

Cook over medium heat until pears are tender, about 10 minutes. Remove cloves and cinnamon and lemon slices. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate.

Makes 10 half cup servings.
