Besan Burfi Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup besan
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
4 seeds cardamom
1 nuts (optional)



Directions: How to Cook Besan Burfi

1. melt shortening in a pan. 2. Turn down heat and add cardamom and Besan. 3. Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning till it has changed color to brown and smells done. (Test: a few drops of water sprinkled on it splutters instantly). 4. Turn off heat and stir in sugar. 5. Spread on a platter 1/2" thick. 6. Cut into diamond shapes after it has cooled down.
